Dorota Weziak-Bialowolska works with the SHINE team at Harvard T. H. School of Public Health, Department of Environmental Health. Her research interests are in methodology including psychometrics, composite scales and indicators as well as impact assessment and evaluation. Her recent focus is also on applied well-being and health as well as relationship between the two especially in the workplace setting. Before joining the SHINE team, she worked for 5 years for the European Commission Joint Research Centre as post-doctoral researcher and research fellow. She was responsible for constructing and assessing composite indicators in the field of poverty, well-being, quality of life and cultural and creative industries.

She received her master degree in quantitative methods (2003), her doctoral degree is in economics (2008) and post-doctoral degree (habilitation) is in sociology (2016).

In her career, she has had an opportunity to work with policy makers (Team of Strategic Advisors of the Prime Minister of Poland, former President of the European Council, Donald Tusk), international organizations (UN, OECD, WIPO), European Commissions agencies (four Directorates General and the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions [Eurofound]), foundations (European Cultural Foundation, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation), and non-profit international organizations (ENCATC; Sustainable Society Foundation) on multiple interdisciplinary projects.

She has published over fifty papers in peer-reviewed journals.
